AMELIA is a Hamburg-based jazz quartet that has its finger on the pulse of the young urban jazz scene. Together, the four musicians search for moments of beauty and melancholy and bring them to life in a strong, cohesive sound. Their music is influenced by musical role models such as Aaron Parks, Bill Frisell and Ambrose Akinmusire. The band plays songs in which composition and improvisation are on equal footing and melodies take center stage.
